How We Met
There are two versions to this actually. The sensible, logical one...and the spiritual...ah..meant to be sort of one.
The normal one first:
Cassie had just moved to Scotland with her oldest two children to get away from the psychopath she had the misfortune of marrying 1st time.
Whilst the children were in school she went to the library to keep up with what was happening on the net. Decided for a bit of fun to check out the local 'talent'. Went on yahoo dating thingy. Did a search. Nothing interesting...until a couple of pages on..when a profile jumped out from the page. "fate is woven in the web of wyrrd" which is a heathen reference and this really handsome guy staring back.
It didn't say he was heathen, but with something like that in his profile Cassie figured at some point they would probably meet anyway. Not many heathens about...he is bound to attend a moot.
Patience not being a strong point of Cassie's...a couple of months later...she sent him an ice breaker via yahoo dating. She got a response back, Drew was very excited to have recieved a message from someone who he seemed to have so much in common. Just as he was thinking about paying to send a proper e-mail contact, he recieved an e-mail from Cassie. *See patience...and Cassie's lack of it*. She had taken the plunge and signed up to contact him properly.
That was it. They e-mailed for a bit, swapped numbers...when they finally met 26th June 2005 it was just love at first sight and they have been together since!
The spiritual, hippy, wyrd bit!
Before Cassie left England, she had been given by said ex a bag of stuff. In it was a valentines card she made him. Why he chose to send it back to her, the Gods only know. But it annoyed her and she didn't want to take it to Scotland with her.
So the night before she left, she sat in the doorway of the safehouse back door and burnt it. Offered it up to Freyja, told her to take the love contained within it and give it to someone worthy of it.
In between the time Cassie saw Drews picture on the net, and actually meeting him...She started drawing.
Art (as well as patience) is not a Cassie strong point, so this was pretty wierd. But with nothing else to do she started drawing knotwork. ya know...celtic knotwork. Not bad for someone who can't draw!
She drew LOADS of these things...it was getting a bit strange to say the least. The main knot was there but she couldn't seem to get another part of it to go right...she just 'felt' there should be more too it and just couldn't draw it.
But it stopped and she forgot about it. A few weeks into their relationship, they were cuddled up in bed. Cassie then spotted a tattoo on Drew's arm...same knotwork she had spent weeks trying to draw
Seems Freyja did bring someone worthy
*cue twighlight zone music!*
....and they lived happily ever after...
